Time of Detox and Sacrifice
So when scrolling YouTube, as one does, I came across this video (^^) from a creator I love, Ivy Corvus, or Ivy The Occultist.
In the past 5,6, maybe even 7 years, I haven't really given myself a break from social media or from the rush and overwhelmingness of what has become of life.
In Ivy's video she mentions a few things that you can do when doing this "Time of Detox and Sacrifice":
Fasting (Intermittent, Water Fasting, Changing Diet, etc)
Journaling/Reflecting
Penance (Making amends for past mistakes, whether to yourself or others)
Meditation
Detox from Internet/Social Media (Limit Screen Time)
Reconnect with nature
Cleansing Ritual (Physical, Mental, Emotional)
Breathwork and Breathing Exercises
Decluttering and Cleaning
Sleeping Well
and...
Practicing Sustainablity
Spring is also the perfect time to do this (I know we're rather close to summer now but it's still Spring).
I think this is something I will do for the remainder of spring/my school year. I could really use a detox from everything.
I might choose to record and document this experience but we'll see how it goes and if I even do it. I already have a few ideas for what specifically I would do
